Victor Moses Leads Chelsea Team to Elegushi Palace
A delegation from Chelsea F.C. on Sunday visited the palace of Saheed Ademola Elegushi in Lagos as part of efforts to strengthen the club’s relationship with its Nigerian supporters and local institutions.
The visit featured former Super Eagles winger and ex-Chelsea player, Victor Moses, who joined members of the delegation alongside representatives of the Chelsea Fans Club in Nigeria.
Oba Elegushi received the visitors warmly and described the engagement as an important moment for sports, culture and international collaboration.
The monarch stressed the need for stronger connections between global football institutions and grassroots communities in Nigeria, noting the impact football continues to have on young people and society.
The visit also reflected Chelsea’s longstanding relationship with Nigerian football fans, as the English club remains one of the most widely supported teams in the country.
Speaking during the visit, Oba Elegushi expressed delight at hosting the delegation and acknowledged Victor Moses for his contributions to Nigerian football and Chelsea’s success during his playing career.
