“A True Pillar of APC Women and a Compassionate Leader” – Folashade Olabanji-Oba Celebrates Hon. Jummy Okoya-Thomas

Aarebirin Hon. Princess (Dr.) Folashade Olabanji-Oba has extended warm and heartfelt birthday felicitations to Hon. Jummy Okoya-Thomas, Member of the House of Representatives and a member of the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council (GAC), describing her as an exceptional leader, bridge builder and steadfast advocate for the people.
In a goodwill message released to mark the occasion, Princess Olabanji-Oba praised Hon. Okoya-Thomas as an “amazing Amazon” and an empathetic progressive whose leadership style is defined by courage, compassion and unwavering loyalty to the ideals of good governance.
She noted that the celebrant has continued to distinguish herself as a dependable political figure of great repute and forthrightness within Lagos State and beyond.
Princess Olabanji-Oba fondly referred to Hon. Okoya-Thomas as “the indefatigable and relentless loving mother of Lagos State APC women,” acknowledging her strategic role in uniting and mobilising women across the state, while serving as a mentor and inspiration to emerging leaders.
“Today and always, I pray that the hand of God continues to guide, guard, protect, provide and propel you to greater and higher greatness,” she said, while offering prayers for continued divine blessings, strength and prosperity for the celebrant and her family.
She further expressed deep appreciation to Hon. Okoya-Thomas for her selfless service, describing her as a political Amazon with a heart for the people and a deep commitment to inclusive development.
According to her, the impact of Hon. Okoya-Thomas’ leadership continues to resonate across party structures and communities, particularly among women stakeholders within the APC.
Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba currently serves as the National Chairman and a Board of Trustees member of the Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGOVC). She is also the National Director of the APC Professional Women Council and the Immediate Past Vice Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government.
In addition, she is the Global Director-General of the Asiwaju Distinguished Ambassadors Movement (ADAM), a nationwide political mobilisation platform, where she continues to champion grassroots engagement and progressive leadership.
The birthday message concluded with an affirmation of enduring appreciation and affection for Hon. Okoya-Thomas, whom Princess Olabanji-Oba described as the “Otun Iyalode of Lagos,” while wishing her a glorious, prosperous and fulfilling new year.
