Semi Ajayi Excited To Lead Hull City To Victory Against Manchester United

Nigeria defender, Semi Ajayi is glad to have contributed to Hull City huge win against Manchester United at the MKM Stadium on Saturday.

Ajayi produced a memorable performance as Hull City opened their 2026/27 Premier League campaign with a shock 2-0 victory over the Red Devils.

Ajayi scored the opening goal and later provided an assist as the Tigers claimed a famous result in their first match of the new season.

Reflecting on the goal that put Hull City ahead, Ajayi said it’s an amazing feat for the club to kickoff their season on a winning note.

“It was amazing. It kind of capped off the really good start that we had. We had a couple of chances before that which we didn’t manage to put away, but obviously that one got us into the lead, and also gave us something to protect, but also build on.”

Ajayi won the Player Of The Match (POTM) for his outstanding performance and contributions that led to his side’s victory.

Hull City will face Stoke City in their next game in the first round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, August 25 at the Bet365 Stadium.
