Nigeria midfielder, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is relishing the national team winning mentality which significantly sheltered the team to five wins in five games.
The Super Eagles sealed a place in the last four of the continental showpiece as they outclassed Algeria 2-0 at the Grande Stade de Marrakech on Saturday, January 10.
Dele-Bashiru said it was a satisfactory performance from the Eagles who implemented their training routine in the match against the Dessert Warriors.
The midfield maestro added Mahrez is a legend who has had a great career worth emulating.
“Very very good performance from the team. I think it was a convincing breakthrough, and everything we worked on on the training grounds, we’ll put it to practice today. They are very good players but I think we nullified most of their threats and we also finished our chances,” he said.
“Mahrez is a legend and he has a great career, it’s an honor playing against him on the pitch.
“Everyone collectively, the coach and staff, the players, everyone has really been gelling over the last few weeks and I think everything we’re doing in training, our mentality, our mindset, we’re putting into practice on the pitch and we’re showing in our performances.”
The Super Eagles faces an herculean task as they trade tackles with Morocco in the semifinal at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Rabat.
