Elephant Club of Ogba Moves to Boost Education, Youth Empowerment in Agege

The leadership of the Elephant Club of Ogba, a foremost socio-cultural and humanitarian association in Agege, has reiterated its commitment to grassroots development during a courtesy visit to the Acting Chairman of Agege Local Government, Alhaji Abdul-Ganiyu Vinod Obasa.
Led by the club’s Chairman, Mr. Akingbade Razaq, the executive members engaged the council boss in robust discussions on ways to strengthen community development across Ogba and Agege. Key focus areas highlighted included improving access to quality education, intensifying environmental sanitation campaigns, supporting humanitarian causes, and fostering youth empowerment through sports.
According to Mr. Razaq, the club is determined to complement government efforts by initiating projects that directly impact residents and uplift young people in the community. “Our vision is to see Ogba and Agege thrive as model communities where education, health, and youth development are prioritized,” he said.
Responding, Alhaji Obasa commended the Elephant Club for its proactive initiatives and assured them of the council’s readiness to collaborate. He emphasized that partnerships between government and community-based organizations remain crucial for sustainable development.
As a mark of appreciation, the Elephant Club presented a framed portrait to the Acting Chairman, describing him as a leader whose support for community-oriented projects continues to inspire confidence among residents.
The visit, which attracted members of the club’s executive council and local government officials, further reinforced the shared commitment to building a cleaner, healthier, and more prosperous Agege community.
