Nigeria Star, Taiwo Lawal Officially Joins Mexican Club, Mazatlán

Nigerian international Taiwo Lawal has officially joined Mexican powerhouse Mazatlán Women’s team. The prolific goal-scorer makes the move from Turkish side Ünye Kadin Spor Kulubu for an undisclosed fee.

Lawal had a stellar two seasons in Turkey where scored over 25 goals with numerous assists. Her impressive performances earned her a significant move to the Mexican Liga MX Femenil.

The forward is known for her clinical skills, bullish strength and terrific pace to scare off opposing defenders.

Lawal is expected to add to the firepower of Mazatlan next season as they challenge for the league title.

Founded in June 2020, Mazatlán has consistently maintained its top-flight status in the Mexican women’s football league since its inception.
