The enforcement team of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) with the assistance of military police will be on the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor tomorrow for enforcement of traffic law.
The dedicated BRT lanes are iconic stations typically aligned to the center of the road to avoid the causes of delay that normally slow regular bus services into stocked traffic.
To maintain the purpose of the BRT which is to give faster, reliable and convenient trip to passengers on bus, LASTMA with the help of military police will be on guard at BRT corridors, ensuring compliance to the rule of BRT lanes.
Echonews gathered that anyone apprehended for violating the BRT lane laws will not be fined, but prosecuted by the special mobile court, LASTMA office at Oshodi.
