The Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello has appealed to staff to hold onto their reputation as research-based institution among their peers.
She said researching in various fields will give them a great advantage in the scholarship world as they will be up-to-date and well-represented in whatever avenue they find themselves.
Olatunji-Bello noted that the institution hopes to foster critical thinking and analytical skills through hands-on learning in its staff as they do not want them to remain redundant in whatever field they specialize in but rather be at their peak.
She also encouraged them to avoid unofficial practices that may affect the quality of service delivery in the institution.
She said as a new year begins, she hopes that LASU will continue to uphold its foot in the scholarly world as one of the best.
