The All Progressives Congress (APC), Oshodi-Isolo LG has on Monday flagged off its campaign for all its candidates in preparation for the Saturday local government election.

As sign of readiness, all candidates were handed broom as symbol of the party to celebrate victory ahead of the election to be held on July 24, this year.

For the campaign, multitude of party members were gathered at Owoseni Primary School, Oshodi, cheering their candidates to give them hope.

They were all in APC customised T- shirt and jean trousers to signal the commencement of their ward-to-ward campaign.

The flag off ceremony was done in a grand style as the chairmanship candidate of the party for the Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Oloyede (Kendoo) raised the party flag after it was passed down to him in successions.

Just the way a baton is been passed in a race, Oloyede was passed with the flag to continue the good work from where his predecessors stopped.

The Passing of the flag started from past leaders such as A. O. Aina to the former Oshodi Isolo executive chairman, Ipesa Balogun down to the Lagos State vhaorman of the National Union of Road Transportation Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Musiliu Akinsaya (MC Oluomo) who handed it to the Member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Oshodi-Isolo constituency 1, Dr. Bashiru Dawodu.

It continued in that order to the APC apex leader of Oshodi-Isolo, Pa. Joseph Olabimtan who passed the flag to the Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Hon. Bolaji Muse-Ariyoh who swung the flag left and right before he finally passed it to the APC Oshodi-Isolo chairmanship candidate, Otunba Kehinde Oloyede.

Oloyede promised to keep the flag flying higher without letting the party down.

Each of the councillorship candidates representing the seven wards in Oshodi-Isolo was also presented with the party symbol – broom and flag to be recognized as candidates to be voted for during the election.

Collectively, all the party members agreed to collaborate with the candidates for the council election to ensure that Kendoo and his team emerge as the winners in the election.

The occasion was graced by the popular Fuji musician, Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasoma with his musical craft to entertain the quests.
