Statistics have revealed that Oke-Afa-Ejigbo, Okota and Orile-Oshodi wards, under federal law, are the three top wards with the highest number of polling units in Oshodi-Isolo LGA following the creation of more polling units in the country.
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had, last Wednesday, announced the creation of additional polling units in the country with the addition of 56,872 to the already existing 119,976 the nation has.
With the creation, the number of polling units in the country is now 176,846 with Lagos having 13,390 making it the state with the highest polling units in the country.
Before the announcement, polling units in the Oshodi-Isolo LGA are 513 but the figures have risen to 890 following the addition of 377 polling units.
Okeafa-Ejigbo ward that has 78 polling units before now has 186; addition of 108 polling units.
Okota ward now has 92 polling units following the addition of 52 more to the already existing 42 while Orile-Oshodi completes the list of Top 3 in the LGA with 112 polling units following the addition of 39 more to the already existing 73.
Ilasamaja Ward comes next to this as it now has 76 full-fledged polling units against the 44 it used to have.
Isolo Ward that comprises Akinbaiye and Alagbeji now has 77 polling units, a difference of 34 from what it used to have.
Mafoluku, Ishagatedo and Oshodi-Bolade Wards now have 65, 58 and 101 polling units, respectively while Ajao Estate, Sogunle-Alasia and Sogunle have 36, 53 and 34 from the previous 17, 42 and 31 they have, respectively.
