Commercial drivers at Ile Iwe, Ejigbo have commended Hon. Monsurudeen Bello (Obe) led the government for being steadfast in road rehabilitation.

The reaction was made following the rehabilitation of Ejigbo-Idimu road at Dorcas bus stop and the government’s efforts in desilting the drains at NNPC junction to ease the challenge of potholes and stagnant drains in the environment.

The motorists expressed much gratitude to the administration for doing a follow-up on the general wellbeing of the masses as they are hopeful that the administration would do more if Obe is re-elected for a second term.

One of the motorists who spoke to ECHONEWS, Mr Uchechukwu Ibe, noted that the government’s intervention on the road has greatly eased their movement, appealing that the gesture should be extended to other roads within Ejigbo.

Elder Ade Ifedapo urged the local government to also fortify the security system, complaining that drivers are occasionally attacked by hoodlums.

He also wants the government to reduce the different charges collected from the motorists in the name of the government and NURTW.
