Yekenni enjoins community leaders to embrace peace

Alhaji Shaffiu Yekenni, an elderly resident who claimed to have controlled the affairs of Community Development Association (CDA) of Shogunle, Oshodi for over 40 years, has appealed to the community stakeholders to ensure peace and to make development the paramount focus.

Elder Yekenni noted that development of the community involved the discipline of civic leaders and citizens to improve various aspects of the local communities.

He noted that the increased number of CDAs to fourteen in Shogunle was as a result of his contributions when he created four other CDAs out of Temidere CDA as chairman giving room for development of others.

“My experience so far in direct participation in the community activities has added to the growth of Shogunle community in various facets.”

He enjoined other community leaders to embrace oneness so that development can come into the community, saying Oshodi environs would also continue to grow at large.
