2026 NWFL Premiership Super Six: Who Takes Home The Trophy

The 2026 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six title deciding playoffs will take the center stage in Port Harcourt, Rivers State at the 38,000 capacity Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.
Rivers Angels, Bayelsa Queens, Robo Queens, Abia Angels, Edo Queens and Nasarawa Amazons all sealed their places at the money spinning Super Six playoffs following a guerrilla regular season matches.
Rivers Angels
The Jewel of Rivers are arguably the one of the most successful women’s football team in Nigeria with a record seven titles won and ten Federation Cup title.
The team led by Tosan Blankson boasts of the best defense in the regular season with just ten goals conceded.
The return of their treasured star, Peace Effiong from injury will add to their firepower as they aim for the NWFL Premiership title on home soil.
Rivers Angels forward Abasiofon Uwah is one of the revelations of the season with ten League goals in the regular season sees her as one of the goal poachers who will be chasing the highest goal scorers award gong.
The Jewel of Rivers also ranks as the only team that has two players who have registered an hat trick this season, Abasiofon Uwah and Ramotallahi Kareem.
Bayelsa Queens
The Prosperity Girls will be a force to reckon with in the Super Six as they finished top of Group A with 37 points to seal a place in the season ending playoffs.
Defending champions, Bayelsa Queens had the most ferocious attack in the regular season with 35 goals while their goals are circled around 12 players with Kindness Ifeanyi topping the Prosperity Girls goal chart with seven goals.
Edo Queens
The Benin Queens will be chasing their second league title after tasting their maiden title win in 2024 in Yenagoa.
Edo Queens striker, Atume Doosur leads the NWFL Premiership goals scoring chart with 12 goals after a remarkable regular season, she’s one of the shining stars the Benin Arsenal will be banking on to make a huge difference for them.
Robo Queens
The Lagos Landladies have distinguished their selves as a top contender for the league title after finishing with the most points (38) in the regular season.
The return of Esther Onyenezide will give the team options in the midfield and attack.
Pacy forward, Kemi Adegbuyi is the most potent forward for Robo Queens, she scored eight goals in the regular season, while powerful forward, Opeyemi Ajakaye has seven goals to her name.
Nasarawa Amazons
The Lafia Landladies are two time League champions. They play one of the best attacking football in the league.
Their experience and dominating possession style of play is their biggest value as they target the League title despite coming close on numerous occasions.
Abia Angels
Abia Angels made history as they qualified to their maiden Super Six appearance. An outstanding feat in their history.
The Aba Angels merited their place in the center stage with a spirited regular season performance which saw them seal a place among the elites clubs fighting for the League title.
Captain Miracle Usani has been the lethargic force in the team as they aim for the League title.
