2026 NWFL Premiership Super Six: Match Day One Preview

The 2026 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six is set to kickoff at the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium Port Harcourt.

Following the conclusion of the Super Six draws, the competition is set for the battle ahead as the six best teams take the center stage in an epic showdown.

Edo Queens vs Nasarawa Amazons

2023/2024 NWFL Premiership champions, Edo Queens will square up against two time champions, Nasarawa Amazons in the first game of the competition by 9:00am.

The last meeting between both sides ended in a goalless draw at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne in 2025.

Edo Queens will be banking on their effective striking force led by leading goal scorer in the League, Atume Doosur and pacy wingers to torment the Lafia Landladies while Nasarawa Amazons will depend on the fluidity of their midfield to push their attacking threats.

Rivers Angels vs Robo Queens

Hosts, seven time League champions, Rivers Angels will engage Robo Queens in an epic battle. Both sides boasts of intimidating striking force while being led by seasoned tacticians.

Vibrant forward, Abasiofon Uwah, Ramotallahi Kareem, Grace Saliu proves to be outstanding players the Jewel of Rivers will be looking forward to make the difference for them.

While Kemi Adegbuyi, Opeyemi Ajakaye, Esther Onyenezide leads a dynamic partnership for Robo Queens in the showdown.

Bayelsa Queens vs Abia Angels

Defending champions, Bayelsa Queens will trade tackles with debutants, Abia Angels in the third game of the day.

The Prosperity Girls squad depth will be is their biggest advantage as they go head to head with other giants in their quest to retain the title they won in 2025 at Ikenne.

Abia Angels youthful squad will be a daunting task against their opponents.
