Youth Groups Lead PVC Drive, Register 100 Residents in Oshodi

Youth groups in Oshodi have intensified efforts to boost voter participation ahead of the 2027 general elections, mobilising more than 100 residents to register for their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) during a community outreach in Shogunle.

Members of the Oshodi Youth Stakeholders Forum joined volunteers from the Inspired Youth Network on Tuesday for a PVC mobilisation drive aimed at encouraging eligible residents to register before the deadline.

The exercise, held in the Shogunle community of Oshodi Isolo Local Government Area, saw over 100 people successfully registered, while several others received assistance in resolving issues related to their voter registration.

The organisers said the initiative was designed to ensure that more residents are equipped to participate in the electoral process by exercising their civic rights during the 2027 general elections.

They stressed that nation building requires the active participation of young people and urged eligible youths across Oshodi to obtain their PVCs and encourage others to do the same.

With voter registration scheduled to end in two days, the groups appealed to residents who are yet to register or complete their registration process to take advantage of the remaining time.
