Nigerian Afrobeats star Wizkid has made history as the first African artiste to surpass 11 billion streams on Spotify across all credits.

The milestone was announced on Tuesday by ChartsAfrica in a post shared on X, where the platform described Wizkid as a global superstar.

“First African artist to reach each milestone in Spotify history. Wizkid becomes the first African artiste ever to cross 11 billion Spotify streams across all credits,” ChartsAfrica stated.

The achievement comes just four days after the release of State of Mind, Wizkid’s latest collaboration with DJ Tunez, which was released on May 15, 2026.

According to reports, the single recorded more than 685,000 global streams on its first day on Spotify, further boosting Wizkid’s growing international streaming numbers.

The latest feat adds to Wizkid’s long list of global records and reinforces his position as one of Africa’s most commercially successful music stars on digital streaming platforms.
