Nigerian gospel singer Oyinlomo Diamond has expressed concern over her colleague BBO’s silence following the death of fellow gospel artiste Toluwanisings, urging him to prioritise his wellbeing as he mourns his close friend.
Toluwanisings reportedly died on October 14, 2026, after slumping at his residence. His sudden death sparked shock and grief among fans and fellow musicians, particularly those who had attended a music concert with him just hours before the incident.
Since the tragedy, BBO, who was described as a close friend of the deceased, has reportedly kept away from social media and public appearances.
At Toluwanisings’ tribute night on Tuesday, BBO reportedly covered his face to avoid being recognised by the press and declined to speak at the event.
Reacting to his absence from public view, Oyinlomo Diamond shared an emotional message on Instagram on Wednesday, expressing concern about the impact of grief on her colleague.
She acknowledged that BBO might need time away from the public while mourning but warned against allowing grief and overthinking to affect his health.
“I hope you know we can’t afford to lose you too. Dear BBO @officialbbo_ I hope you are fine? I understand this silence. I love how genuine you are even in death. I love how you didn’t chase clout with his death,” she wrote.
The singer encouraged BBO to take the time he needed to reflect, grieve and rest, adding that Toluwanisings’ sudden death could change the way many hardworking young people view life.
“You can take your time to reflect, sober, be offline and REST as you wish. Because his sudden death will definitely change any hardworking youths perspective about life. Don’t be in a position where your health will demand too much from you because of overthinking,” she added.
Oyinlomo Diamond also reminded BBO that Toluwanisings’ immediate family might need his support during the difficult period.
Her message has drawn attention to the emotional toll that sudden loss can have on those closest to the deceased, as friends, colleagues and fans continue to mourn the gospel singer.
