Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has mocked rapper Zlatan Ibile over his recent album promotion and wedding, amid speculation about a possible rift between the two personalities.

VDM made the remarks in a social media post, questioning the attention generated by both events and suggesting that the publicity surrounding them had not translated into the level of engagement expected.

“Person wey do a whole wedding because he won promote him album, album no blow, wedding no blow,” he wrote.

The activist also criticised the online coverage of Zlatan’s wedding, claiming that posts shared by entertainment blogs attracted limited engagement.

“All the blogs that posted the wedding, no one entered 5k comments. All the PR, Vincent everywhere. If that song no stay No. 1 for one month, e go pain me,” he added.

The comments have fuelled speculation about a possible disagreement between VDM and the rapper, although neither the post nor the reported lyric independently confirms a rift.

The speculation followed the release of a song by Zlatan featuring Peruzzi and Shoday, in which the rapper delivers the line, “I no be Vincent, I no fit masturbate.”

Some listeners interpreted the reference to “Vincent” as a possible dig at VDM, whose first name is Vincent. However, the lyric alone does not establish that the activist was the intended target.

The exchange has drawn attention online, with the relationship between the rapper’s lyrics and VDM’s subsequent comments becoming a subject of discussion among fans.
