It was an exciting game between two good sides but a wonderful freekick scored by the Moroccans captain, Ghizalne Chebbake separated both sides.

The Moroccans dominated proceedings in the game and had more chances to their side but the Burkina Faso side stood their ground to concede a goal in the first 45 minutes of the encounter.

The Atlas Lionesses captain, Ghizalne Chebbake scored a fantastic freekick for the Moroccans in the 29th minute and followed it up with a trademark celebration to the delight of the fans at the Prince Moulay Abdellah stadium.

Before the freekick leading to the goal was awarded, it was subject to a VAR review by the center referee Salima Mukansanga to determine if there was an infringement leading to the earlier penalty claim or decision.

Lots of possession came the Moroccans way in the second half but they couldn’t convert the chances as a lone goal was enough to settle the sides.
