Wafa League 2026 Draws Unveiled, Set For Kickoff

The 2026 Women Accredited Football Academies (WAFA) League draws have been concluded as the competition is set to kickoff on Tuesday, September 8 at Igboora, Oyo State.

15 teams were drawn into four groups. While only group D consist of only three teams, and the remaining groups have four teams each.

Two teams that finished from each group with the highest points of goal difference will advance to the quarter final of the tournament.

Chairman of WAFA League, Adeboye Shoneye said this year’s edition will be more competitive than previous years as plans have been put in place to ensure a hitch free tournament.

Wazbak Queens emerged victorious in the 2025 edition as they defeated Ijamido Queens 4-3 via penalty shootout after playing a goalless draw at the end of regulation time.
