Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen celebrated the birth of his second child, Liora Audrey, by scoring in Galatasaray’s emphatic 4-0 victory over Konyaspor in the Turkish Süper Lig on Friday night.

The Super Eagles forward continued his impressive scoring run, finding the net for the third consecutive match as Galatasaray secured a convincing away win at the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Stadium.

Osimhen’s compatriot and Super Eagles teammate, Chidozie Awaziem, featured for Konyaspor and completed the entire 90 minutes.

The 26-year-old opened the scoring in the 12th minute, rising to head home Gabriel Sara’s cross to give the visitors an early advantage, less than 24 hours after announcing the arrival of his daughter.

The goal took Osimhen’s tally to nine in eight league appearances this season, further underlining his importance to the Turkish champions.

Galatasaray continued to dominate the encounter, with Yunus Akgün doubling their lead in the 28th minute before Aleksey Batrakov added a third in the 49th minute.

Rafael Leão completed the scoring from the penalty spot in the 55th minute as the visitors cruised to an emphatic victory.

The result takes Galatasaray to 25 points, extending their advantage over Amed Sportif, who are scheduled to host Eyüpspor on Sunday.

Osimhen had initially remained in Istanbul on Thursday following the announcement of his child’s birth but travelled separately to Konya on Friday to join the squad for the encounter.
