Valentine’s Day: CDC shares love to Ejigbo community

As lovers express their affection, greetings and gifts irrespective of their social statuses in this val season, Ejigbo Community Development Associations (CDAs) a conglomerate under the Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman, Prince Jelili Atiku expresses it love towards the community.
The celebration which is the first of its kind is celebrated to share love to Ejigbo community, launch the CDC 2021 calendar and sendforth of the efficient H.O.D Agric and Social Services, Mr Ajose Oluwatoyin Elijah.
Prince Atiku in his opening speech disclosed that the community development associations dedicate its community love celebration to the All Progressives Congress (APC) National leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who has effortlessly transformed the ancient Ejigbo into what it is today.
“This ceremony is dedicated to Asiwaju for the creation of Ejigbo LCDA in 2003 aiming at bringing us together to re-energize the bond of love among us and to reaffirm our commitment for community development.”
He reiterated that the principal objective of the CDC is to reactivate the spirit of community development amongst executive members.
“This gathering is a means of reawakening people’s interest and encourage community participation in the welfare and improvement of the community, and to importantly promote peace, unity, initiative, leadership and togetherness among members of the community.”
The event’s special guest of honour, Chairman Lagos State Community Development Advisory Council (LSCDAC), Alhaji Amusat Azees with great enthusiasm appreciates the efforts of executive representatives of the CDC at the state level.
“Since the inauguration of the CDAC’s new committee in March 13, representatives from Ejigbo CDC, Chairman, Prince Jelili Atiku and the secretary, Barr. (Mrs) Abimbola Olawale, have contributed immensely towards the development of the CDAC as they make themselves available at whatever time they are contacted.”
“Their great contributions have indirectly assisted Ejigbo CDC as their community efforts are highly recognized at the state level.”
While launching the calendar, Prince Jelili noted that the importance of its publication despite late launching due to the effect of Coronavirus pandemic is the historic value it entails.
“This 7-page calendar is a detailed understanding of the CDC with a pictorial representation of selected activities of the CDC in 2020, hierarchical order of the executive body, among others.”
Prince Jelili at the long run presented a large portrait to Asiwaju through the LSCDAC chairman, Alh. Amusat Azees, Ejigbo LCDA chairman, Hon. Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello and Mr Ajose in expressing their love noting that these key figures have over the years helped in the development of the community.
The coordinator National Youth Council of Nigeria Ejigbo branch, Comrade Akinyele Akintunde afterwards presented an award of best H.O.D of the year to Mr Ajose for assisting NYCN Ejigbo Branch in youths activities whenever needed.
