A.U.D CLASSROOM COMMISSIONING: ISOLO BOSS REITERATES HIS COMMITMENT TO EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The Executive chairman Isolo Local Council Developent Area LCDA, Hon. Shamsudeen Olaleye has once again retreated his executive commitment to educational development at the grassroots level. He made this known at the official commissioning of the newly built block of classrooms at Ansar-ud-deen Primary School, on the Thursday, 11th January 2018.

Although, the new block of classrooms was to replace the old structure which was demolished for the construction new one of higher state-of-art facilities, with complete administrative officer for the headmasters and teachers. More so, the block of classrooms was solely built by the State Universal Basic Education Board {SUBEB} but, the honor of its launching was deservingly giving to the council boss by the Education Secretary Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Mr. Femi Ogunwusi.

However, in the speech of the council Boss, he vocalized his consciousness to the fact that government has a vital role to play in educational development of children and also reitreated the commitment of his administration to keep improving standard of education in the community. This he said was part of the germane subject of discourse at the recently conducted budget retreat.

In his words, “The local government has a big role to play in the education of our children. At any point in time, we have to give helping support to other strata of the government to ensure that education gets necessary attention. Let me use this opportunity to inform you as we gather here that we want to complete the other side of the project and we’ve discussed this issue at the last budget retreat and very soon the contractors handling the school project would resume work for the completion of the project”, he said.

He continued, saying “as we are handling over the project to the school management, we expect the school management to maintain the facilities and the neatness of the block of classrooms. We hope that this project would bring new era of good things to the school”, he concluded.

However, the Headmistress of the school, miss. Ahunwanya was unreserved in gratitude to SUBEB and the council boss for the building and commissioning of the block of classrooms, “i want to say a big thank you to the Executive chairman of Isolo LCDA, Hon, Shamsudeen Olaleye for commissioning the school block and handling over the keys to us. We are very grateful for this kind gesture and what you’ve done for us will be mostly remembered in the history of the school on behalf of the entire school management, we promise to keep the environment of the school and ensure that the facilities are well maintained”, She concluded.
