Long before the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) announced his arrest over an alleged international cocaine trafficking network, Afolabi Kazeem Michael, popularly known as KC Luxury, had already built a strong identity around wealth, rare automobiles and high-end fashion on social media.
Now, following his arrest, old videos and photographs from his social media accounts have resurfaced, offering a glimpse into the lifestyle the 48-year-old social media influencer and luxury goods dealer consistently presented to the public.
One of the recurring features of his online presence was his collection of expensive vehicles, with KC Luxury often using his platforms to showcase cars that he described as rare and exclusive.
In one resurfaced video, he spoke with particular pride about two Mercedes-Maybachs designed by the late fashion designer Virgil Abloh, highlighting their limited production and exclusivity.
“I don’t think anybody has serial number 001 Maybach Virgil Ablohs,” he said, while also claiming that he did not believe anyone else owned two of the 150 produced.
His fascination with luxury extended beyond automobiles.
Videos from his Snapchat account, @kayceeluxury, showed him displaying expensive watches and other high-value items, while other clips captured him surrounded by exotic vehicles.
In one of the videos, KC Luxury reflected on the feeling associated with owning expensive cars, asking whether the vehicle a person drives gives them a sense of pride and excitement.
But beneath the displays of wealth were also moments in which he spoke about his personal relationships and frustrations.
In another clip, he complained about receiving advice from people around him without getting the practical support he expected.
“99% advisors, zero helper,” he said.
His social media presence also extended into Nigeria’s entertainment circle, with one resurfaced clip showing him alongside music star Wizkid, further highlighting the network of high-profile personalities around his public image.
The resurfacing of the videos comes days after the NDLEA announced that KC Luxury had been arrested in connection with an alleged cocaine trafficking operation.
According to the agency, he was arrested on August 13, 2026, at the boarding gate of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos while allegedly preparing to travel to Paris on a business-class flight.
The NDLEA alleges that he was the Nigerian link in an international cartel moving cocaine from South America through Nigeria to the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia.
The agency said the investigation followed the interception of 184.5kg of cocaine allegedly concealed for export through a courier logistics channel in Lagos, describing it as the largest cocaine seizure involving a courier company in the country.
Following his arrest, NDLEA operatives reportedly searched his luxury apartment in Banana Island, Ikoyi, where the agency said several exotic vehicles were recovered.
The agency also said cash comprising €7,750, £2,800 and N100,000, as well as expensive jewellery, was recovered from him at the airport.
The resurfaced videos have consequently taken on a different significance, with the extravagant lifestyle KC Luxury once displayed to his followers now being examined alongside the serious allegations brought against him.
KC Luxury has not been convicted of any offence, and the allegations by the NDLEA remain subject to judicial determination.
