Temitope Osoba Died at Ikorodu Police Station, Fiancé Alleges

Prophet Itunu Onadeko, fiancé of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba, has alleged that the actress died at a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

Onadeko made the claim during an interview with the Celestial Reality Check, the media investigative unit of the Celestial Church of Christ, on Saturday.

The allegation presents a different account of the circumstances surrounding Osoba’s death, which has been the subject of speculation on social media, including claims linking it to her previous battle with breast cancer.

According to Onadeko, he learnt about the actress’ death from an unidentified caller who contacted him around midnight.

> “It was a random person that called me around 12 am that she died in a police station in Ikorodu,” he said.

The prophet, who is the Shepherd-in-Charge of CCC Onibuore Cathedral in the Bogije area of Ibeju-Lekki, however, said he did not know the particular police station where Osoba allegedly died.

He said he subsequently reported himself at a nearby police station.

Onadeko also disclosed that Osoba had gone to visit a woman identified as Mrs Kehinde Osoba shortly before her death.

He said the woman also operates a church and that Osoba had expressed her intention to visit both her and him.

“She had insisted to see Mrs Kehinde Osoba, she also has a church, although she said she wanted to see me too. When they left for there, I told them that I wasn’t chanced to go that day because of church programmes,” he said.

According to him, a hairdresser with whom Osoba had been staying accompanied her on the visit.

Onadeko said he remained in contact with Osoba during the period and recalled that she even made a social media post before he later received news of her death.

“The hairdresser that Tope was sleeping in her place was the person that went with her. We maintained communication and she even posted ‘Ogo tun tun’ until I heard that she died in the police station,” he added.

The prophet also denied allegations that Osoba was poisoned or maltreated before her death, describing the claims surrounding her final days as inaccurate.

However, he acknowledged that he could not independently identify the police station where he alleged the actress died.

The circumstances surrounding Osoba’s death remain unclear, and the claims made by her fiancé have not been independently verified.
