Taiwo Awoniyi Targets Relentless Work Rate At Coventry City

Coventry City new striker, Taiwo Awoniyi has earmarked his ambitions and objectives will define his existence at the Sky Blue side.

Awoniyi ended his four year reign at Nottingham Forest where scored 23 goals in 103 appearances and bagged five assists in all competitions.

The Nigeria forward has set his sights on scoring remarkable goals with high work rate which will mostly be the determining factor of his stay at the club.

The Super Eagle talisman, said Didier Drogba, Thierry Henry, Rashidi Yekini were inspiring factors to hit top form in football.

“I think for sure goals. Like I said, goals and hard work as well,” he said.

“When I watch the video clip of the late Rashidi Yekini of Nigeria and Thierry Henry and, of course, Didier Drogba.”

Newly promoted side, Coventry City will begin their campaign in the 2026/2027 English Premier League season when they take on defending champions, Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Friday, August 21.
