SW presidential aspirants confer on politics without bitterness

The spirit of Obafemi Awolowo, the maker of Western Region hovered over the presidential aspirants of the All Progressives Congress from the region as they conferred on how to bond while racing against each other for the ticket.

Insider sources told ECHONEWS the initial plan of the host, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu was to set up a forum that might prune the number of aspirants.

However, feelers among them showed that none was ready to toe the line.

It was resolved that mutual understanding among aspirants would help them close ranks and ensure that the region does not lose the ticket.

Chaired by former Osun State Governor and founding APC Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande, the meeting had in attendance Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Governors Adegboyega Oyetola (Osun), Arakunrin Akeredolu, Dr. Fayemi among others.
