Super Falcons Legend Ayisat Yusuf Lands Coaching Role In Finland

Nigeria legend, Ayisat Yusuf has taken up a new coaching role with Finnish giants, HJK Helsinki FC after being appointed head coach of the club’s P16/17 team.
Yusuf announced her appointment, describing it as an exciting new chapter in her coaching career and an opportunity to contribute to the development of young footballers.
HJK Helsinki, one of Finland’s most successful football clubs, will provide the former Nigerian international with a new platform to develop her coaching experience and make an impact at youth level.
In a statement announcing the new role, Yusuf expressed excitement about the opportunity, noting that it comes with fresh challenges and greater responsibilities.
“I am excited to embrace this new chapter with HJK Helsinki Football Club in Helsinki, one of Finland’s most successful football clubs, as Head Coach of P16/17,” she said.
“Every opportunity comes with new challenges, greater responsibilities, and another chance to grow, inspire, and make a meaningful impact.”
Despite taking up the new assignment in Finland, Yusuf stressed that her appointment would not affect her commitment to national service with the Super Falcons.
She reaffirmed her determination to continue serving Nigeria while balancing her responsibilities at club level.
“As I take on this new role, I remain fully committed to my national duties with the Nigerian Super Falcons, continuing to serve my country with pride, dedication, and passion.v
“For me, it is all about purpose, growth, and making a difference wherever football takes me.”
The former Super Falcons star also expressed optimism about the challenges and opportunities ahead, emphasising her desire to contribute to the growth of the game at both club and international levels.
