Residents of Okota community especially those on Aremu Street have been unsparing with words of commendation for the chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area, Olasoju Adebayo, as the ongoing road construction work on the street advances.

The street which is currently receiving the attention of the council authority joins the long list of strategic roads the council chairman has either rehabilitated or outrightly constructed since he assumed office.

The laying of HPV-manufactured paving stone elicited great excitement among the residents as they showered encomium on the council boss for the project and the pace with which it’s being handled.

“The construction of this road gladdens our heart so much and we are thankful to the Chairman for deeming it fit to undertake this project. As you can see, this is interlock and it’s the best that should be done considering the topographic texture of our roads here. We are grateful for this development. May God keep blessing the chairman and perfect all that concerns him” enthused one of the residents, Rasheed Balogun.

Also speaking with our correspondent, a passerby, Stanley Okeke, registered his commendation for the council chairman especially for not resting on his oars since he assumed office. He recalled the construction of Olaosebikan, Seke Abimbola and Nwakibie Streets among others in the area describing the chairman as a man of his word and a blessing to Isolo LCDA.

His words, “I’m thrilled about this project and the quality of what’s being done here. We are to give the chairman his flowers for being untiring in fulfilling his campaign promises to the people. Many of his contemporaries in other areas have either stopped working or reduced their efforts due to reasons best known to them but that’s not the case with him. I give him kudos for this yet another development on this axis.”
