Register births free at PHCs, Onfor charges parents

The Health Educator, Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Mrs. Onfor has sensitized the parents to go for birth registration and obtain certificate at the Primary Healthcare Centres (PHC) nearest to them.

 

According to her, a day old child -17 years of age birth certificate registration is free while 18 years and above attracts the sum of N3, 100 per head.

 

She also disclosed that the government and PHCs are collaborating to get down to the grassroots and combat meningitis through immunisation of the children between nine months and 15 months old to prevent the infectious disease from infancy.

 

According to her, the immunisation is free in all PHCs while a token is charged at private hospitals.

 

In a related development, the Community Development Committee (CDC) has admonished the residents to be security alert and always be cautious of the hoodlums who attack people at Ogunyinka Mafoluku, Airport Road ATM points and rob them of  money.

 

The CDC also charged the Neighbourhood Service Corps posted to the axis to be more vigilant, work in collaboration with the CDA chairman and give feedback to CDC as well.
