Olusoga, who said the newly reformed CDA has not been functioning for some times, appealed to the local government to help them on the drainage and road rehabilitation in the community as the CDA is said to comprise just two streets, claiming that they don’t have the capacity to do the road grading and drainage in the community to curb flooding.

Speaking on the flood issue affecting Idowu Fadeyi Close, Olusoga said negotiation was ongoing with the owner of the building blocking the drainage channel to the next street to allow the drainage to flow through his compound, stating that the outcome would determine the next move on flood issue in the area.

The CDA chairman sought the support and patience of the people in the community as he promised to work to bring development to the community.

He said: “The CDA was created during the time of Mr. Kehinde Bamigbetan as the LCDA Chairman but it was later handed over to bad hands which stopped the progress of the CDA. But now, it is back to life.”
