NWFL Premiership Super 6: Nasarawa Amazons performance report so far

Lafia based women football club, Nasarawa Amazons took a leap of great results in the season ending NWFL Premiership Super 6 as they are now in contention for the crown against Bayelsa Queens.

The pride of women football in Nasarawa, surprised many who didn’t expect them to contest for the trophy as they grind out important results with the technical backing of the great tactician, Christopher Musa Danjuma whose tactical brilliance in the NWFL Premiership Super 6 have been great.

In Nasarawa Amazons first game of the Super 6 against Edo Queens, a lone goal victory courtesy of Tarnum Dooshima was enough to get an important win against the Obaseki Girls.

The second match of Nasarawa Amazons against Delta Queens took a massive twist as the god of soccer was truly at the back of Nasarawa Amazons as Delta Queens lost two penalties within 5 minutes as they won with a lone goal to keep hopes alive.

The 3rd game lose to Rivers Angels was a major setback for Nasarawa Amazons as they lost to the Angels from Rivers state 2-1 despite taking the lead in the game but lack of concentration in the last ten minutes of the game cost Nasarawa Amazons in the game.

The 4th (Rescheduled game) match against Naija Ratels was a smooth ride to victory for Nasarawa Amazons as the first half goals they scored was enough to get past the organised Naija Ratels side.

Going into the final game of the NWFL Premiership Super 6, Nasarawa Amazons will be sharp as usual and will have to defeat Bayelsa Queens 5-0 to win the trophy.
