Nigeria Striker, Kenya Scores Debut Goal In Malta

Nigeria forward, Owolabi Kenya Blessing has kicked off her campaign in the Malta League with a debut goal for Swieqi United Women.

Swieqi United Women FC lost 2-1 to Hibernians FC with newly signed striker, Kenya bagging the home side only goal of the game.

Jessica Emmerton put the away side ahead in the 15th minute, while Nyorah Celeste doubled the lead for Hibernians on the 60th minute.

Kenya entered the match as a half-time substitute (46′) to reshape Swieqi’s attack after they went down in the first half.

Just 6 minutes after Hibernians doubled their lead to 2–0 in the 60th minute, Kenya found the breakthrough in the 66th minute to immediately drag Swieqi United back into the game.

Kenya, who’s known for her pressuring instincts from her breakout season in Kazakhstan, her goal came from high-pressure forward play designed to capitalize on gaps in the Hibernians box.
