NGO, Oshodi-Isolo LG campaign for violence-free society

A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Heart Minders Social Advancement Initiative is partnering with Oshodi-Isolo Local Government to sensitise the people to violence-free society.

The sensitisation walk tagged “Stop all Forms of Sexual Misconduct” is aimed at using social efforts to combat rape, anti-social behaviours as well as other forms of domestic violence.

The Founder of the organisation, Funke Oguntuga said she believed that a violence-free society is a collective responsibility and that every individual has the right to be free from all forms of sexual violence.

“Our major targets are males (men/ boys) who are known to be the abuser of weaker counterparts (women/girls) either by harassment, rape or even domestic violence,” she declared.

The awareness campaign was taken across motor parks, shops, market places urging people to say ‘No’ to sexual misconduct and that victims should report such activities.
