The son of the late Baale of Mafoluku and Ajao Estate, His Highness, Chief Hussam Raimi Shekoni-Elemo who is vying for councillorship position in Ajao Estate, Adeboye Shekoni-Elemo, said he is not afraid of any competitor in seeking the position since he received his late  father’s  blessing.

Speaking with ECHONEWS at the eighth day Firdau prayer and final burial ceremony for the late chief last Wednesday, young Elemo explained that backing out of the race would mean betraying his late father.

According to him, his father gave him the needed support and encouraged him to pursue his political ambition.

He, however, regretted his father’s passing away especially at the time he needed him most, stating that his demise has left a great vacuum in the family, adding that he would be missed for his moral teachings.

“The family has been missing him already because his death, though a milestone, has created a void that can’t be filled by any other person. We will miss him more for his moral teachings.

“About my councillorship aspiration, he told me to go for it and gave his blessings but told me to see whatever happens as God’s plan. His death is another reason for me to push on with my aspiration because it has always been my desire to be of greater service to humanity and I believe that it is best for me to start from my immediate community.”
