Media publisher encourages awardees

The publisher of a community-based newspaper, Mr Abayomi Adejumo has encouraged awardees of the Festac Weekly Newspaper to continue to contribute significantly towards the development of the community.
He said their recognition is connected to their deeds and acceptability in the community which Festac Weekly saw as a key feature in leadership.
Adejumo said the media are involved in the mobilisation of members of the community to get involved in the electioneering process for them to become the voice of the weak in electing the right candidates.
He appreciated the acceptance of all awardees while promising that the establishment will continue to disseminate credible information as it has always done.
He called on the community to support the government, saying it has been observed that the unity between both parties would bring about growth and development while disunity will result otherwise.
