An Ejigbo Magistrate court has sentenced a 29 year old man, Mojeed Babatunde to 24 months imprisonment for defrauding a customer of N210,000.

The Prosecutor, ASP Kenneth Asibor told the court that Babatunde, an aluminum worker, collected the sum of N210,000 from one Mr. Adeyemi Adewale, promising to construct seventy pieces of aluminium windows in his site at Fatoki, Egan.

According to Asibor, after collecting the money, Babatunde failed to deliver the aluminium and refused to refund the money to the owner.

He said the case was first brought to Egan-Igando magistrate district in 2017 when the offence was committed, explaining that following a lot of adjournments, the case was finally brought to Ejigbo magistrate court in July 2019 where the Magistrate, T. O. Shomade finally sentenced the accused to two years imprisonment with hard labour with the alternative of N100,000 fine having been confirmed to be guilty of the offence
