Madugu Blasts Critics, Threatens Legal Action

Nigeria chief coach, Justin Madugu has hit out at critics who blatantly criticize his integrity, personality as he threatened to sue them.
For the first time ever, the Super Falcons crashed out of the WAFCON 2026 in the quarter final which marked their poorest finish at the Africa showpiece tournament since inception.
Madugu who certainly isn’t finding the social media remarks about him funny slammed the critics for focusing on negativity rather than amplifying the positives and impacts of the team.
He stated that, they have the right to sought protection but insults to his integrity and personality wouldn’t be tolerated.
“It’s negative that people want to hear. Once you are a leader, you must expect that it’s not everyone that will like you. It’s out of the criticism that we can look at the good that can come out of it not criticizing out of sentiment or hatred or for whatever reason,” Madugu said at the Prematch Press Conference ahead of Nigeria’s clash with South Africa in Casablanca.
“We have a right to be protected. People can not be insulting us because we are just coaching and then you insult our integrity, you insult our personality.”
The experienced gaffer further threatened to slam lawsuit on anyone that criticizes his personality which isn’t a right to anyone.
“If we decide to go to court, we will settle it there. We have a right to do that. If you want to talk about football, criticize about football but not attacking our personality. I mean you have no right to do that. We can take it up with anybody.”
Super Falcons will lock horns with the Bayana Bayana at the Moulay Rachid Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco on Thursday, August 13 by 9pm Nigeria time.
The winner of the tie will advance to the international playoffs where they will play another country from a different continent in the final stage.
