LSPWC Rolls Out Road Maintenance Schedule As Work Continues Across Lagos
By Sheriff Salau
The Lagos State Public Works Corporation (LSPWC) has released its road rehabilitation and desilting schedule for Tuesday, 18 August 2026, as the agency maintains its steady push to keep the state’s road network serviceable amid the rainy season.
According to the official work plan shared by both the Corporation and the Lagos State Government, teams will be deployed across several local government areas and local council development areas during both day and night shifts.
Day shift operations will focus on Agbe Road in Ifako-Ijaiye; Idimu-Ejigbo Road (Ejigbo inward Idimu) in Alimosho; the POWA Premises in Ikeja GRA; ACME Road from Metal Box Junction inward Akilo in Ikeja; and Aina Akingbala Street in Kosofe.
Night shift crews are scheduled to work on Ikorodu Road by the Mile 12 Deck Bridge (both bounds) in Agboyi-Ketu; the service lane of Ikorodu Road from Fadeyi Bus Stop inward Jibowu in Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye; Chief Yesufu Abiodun Oniru Road in Eti-Osa; Apapa Road on Lagos Mainland; Ogunnusi Road (Berger inward Omole Gate) in Ikeja; and the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway by the Second U-Turn, also in Ikeja.
The Corporation noted that the schedule remains subject to change should unforeseen conditions arise, a standard caveat given the unpredictable weather patterns that have complicated permanent asphalt works in recent weeks.
The daily publication of work schedules forms part of LSPWC’s broader effort to keep residents informed and to manage traffic expectations while engineers carry out emergency repairs, palliative interventions and desilting. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and allow extra travel time in the listed corridors.
The continued interventions reflect the agency’s mandate under the Lagos State Government’s infrastructure agenda to sustain road functionality across the state’s 57 local government and local council development areas, even during the challenging wet season.
