LASUSTECH Celebrates Overall Best Student, Ogunbiyi

In the celebration of its inaugural founder’s day,Lagos State Univeristy of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) announces Jubril Ogunbiyi, a second-year student from the Accounting Department within the College of Applied Social Sciences, as the recipient of the university’s first-ever Overall Best Student award, boasting a stellar CGPA of 5.0.
Ogunbiyi’s exceptional accomplishment grants him a coveted full-year tuition-free scholarship, serving as a testament to his outstanding academic achievements.
The university also extends recognition to 66 students from various colleges, each with a remarkable CGPA of 4.5 and above, offering them a 50% rebate on their tuition fees.
In a benevolent gesture, the Vice-Chancellor ,Professor Olumuyiwa Odusanya reveals a generous scholarship donation of One million naira, dedicated to the best male and female students from the Epe Division. Each recipient will receive #100,000.00 naira annually for the next five sessions, a tribute to the late Mrs. Adetola Odusanya.
Reflecting on his accomplishment, Jubril Ogunbiyi expresses elation and gratitude, considering this achievement a motivation to excel in the academic years ahead.
Acknowledging the importance of dedication and supportive lecturers, Ogunbiyi emphasizes the role of educators who go beyond conventional teaching methods, fostering a deep understanding of concepts.
“I feel elated, and I will say it is a nice feeling getting to be the pioneer student and also the overall best student for academic session 2022/2023. I feel it is a motivation to do better, and over the years, let’s see how it goes. I hope to also emerge as one of the bests in the coming years with my efforts and God’s grace, he said”.
