LASU cautions new students to follow due process

The management of Lagos State University has cautioned newly admitted candidates for the year 2022/2023 academic session to strictly follow the admission procedure in order not to forfeit their admission.
This is to ensure orderliness and strict monitoring to recourse to the just disclaimed admission process which went viral.
The enlisted procedure is said to determine their studentship in the institution as a warning has been made that a candidate’s admission could be forfeited without proper documentation.
Candidates were instructed to appropriately accept the offer of provisional admission and print Admission Letters to ascertain their admission status.
According to the management, successful candidates are required to proceed to the University’s Admission Portal: https://services.lidc.lasu.edu.ng/admissionscreening/login.php to accept the admission and make the necessary payments as indicated, in particular, their Acceptance and Medical Fees on or before 10th February 2023 as failure to accept the admission offered and payment of associated fees will lead to automatic forfeiture of admission.
In another development, the university has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Michael Imoudu National Institute of Labour Studies (MINILS) to build its worker’s capacity to ensure efficiency and proper delivery.
They will organise training workshops and other areas of interest that would boost their efficiency in service delivery.
The Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello said the collaboration will create opportunities for various training programmes in areas such as industrial relations, sustainable labour management, productivity enhancement, leadership skills development and effective students’ union administration.
Olatunji-Bello asserted that effective students’ union administration is germane because students are future workers and it is better to catch them young before, they join the workforce.
She said the institution is not only student-friendly but staff acquainted as favourable policies are formulated to advance human capacity development within the institution for them to live up to the expectation of the State and the educational realm as a whole.
