Lagos Begins Demolition of Illegal Structures in Banana Island

In line with the directives of Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu, the state Building Control Agency has started the demolition of illegal structures in Banana Island, Ikoyi.

Recall that the governor visited the estate last week, following the collapse of a seven-storey building under construction.

One dead body was evacuated from the rubble of the building, according to the state Emergency Management Agency.

During his visit, Sanwo-Olu ordered the removal of all completed and uncompleted buildings that had no records with the state government.
