Council Chairman Reiterates Commitment To Health Sector

The chairman of Eti-Osa Local Government, Hon. Saheed Bankole has reiterated his commitment towards upgrading the primary healthcare sector in the council area.

He emphasised his commitment on health when the members of the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Health Services visited the council last week.

The committee which was led by its chairman, Hon. Noheem Adams, was on an inspection visitation with his team comprising Hon. Femi Saheed of Kosofe Constituency II, and Hon. Tijanni of Ojo Constituency to inspect the health facilities in Eti-Osa LG.

The Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Hon. Idowu Badru who was standing in for the council chairman, accompanied by members of the legislative arm of Eti-Osa LG, the executive members, head of Human Resources, Mr. Rafiu Alabi and medical officer of health, Dr. Adenike Oguntuwase, led the team in inspection of the health facilities in the council area.

Badru expressed his gratitude to the committee for the visit and the support shown to the people of Eti-Osa in the past.

He also reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to improving the quality and standard of service delivery in all primary healthcare facilities in Eti-Osa.

The Medical Officer of Health also expressed appreciation to the committee for the visit as she prayed for the continued support of God and the Lagos State government.

She expressed hope that with the visit, the public primary health centers in Eti-Osa would be ushered into a new era of excellence.

“The visit of the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Health Services to Etiosa Local Government has certainly stirred up excitement and anticipation for positive changes in the local healthcare facilities.

“The people of Etiosa are eagerly looking forward to the future with renewed optimism and confidence in their local government’s commitment to their health and well-being.),” she said.
