Kunle Afod Cites Work Pressure, Trust Issues in Marriage Separation

Nollywood actor and producer, Kunle Afod, has finally spoken about his separation from his wife, Desola Afod, popularly known as Celeb Wife, months after reports of their marital crisis surfaced on social media.
The actor opened up about the situation during an interview with Kasnasty Sugar on YouTube, where he discussed possible issues that contributed to the breakdown of their marriage.
The couple’s marital crisis became public in February 2026 after Desola reportedly moved her belongings out of their matrimonial home.
Although neither party had publicly addressed the situation at the time, Afod’s recent interview has offered an insight into some of the challenges surrounding their relationship.
When asked about the reason for their separation, the actor initially pointed to the demands of his profession, saying his busy work schedule sometimes affected his availability at home.
“This job is heavy to the extent that we sometimes don’t have time for our home,” he said.
Afod subsequently spoke about jealousy, infidelity and trust issues, making controversial remarks about relationships between women and the use of sex toys.
He suggested that suspicion could arise when a married woman becomes overly close to a female friend, alleging that some relationships of that nature could involve infidelity.
The actor also questioned why some women who use sex toys might object to their husbands using similar products, arguing that such behaviour could amount to a double standard.
He further suggested that the use of sex toys could raise questions about fidelity within a marriage.
However, Afod did not provide specific details of incidents in his marriage or directly establish which allegations contributed to the couple’s separation.
