Kendoo jubilates over APC victories, thanks residents for support

The chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Oloyede has thanked residents of the local government for their support by coming out en masse to votes for the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the State House of Assembly candidates in Oshodi-Isolo constituency I, Otunba Stephen Kayode Ogundipe.

Oloyede, in a ‘thank you message’ specifically appreciated the youths, market men and women, the aged men and women, the traditional institutions, religious institutions, and the community development associations for standing by him and the All Progressives Congress in the just concluded governorship and Assembly elections.

The elated Oloyede said the support received from the people of the council was a morale booster to continue to deliver more dividends of democracy to the teeming residents.

He assured them that he along with the elected lawmakers and the governor of the state will work more assiduously to bring to the doorsteps of the people, dividends of democracy.

The council chairman restated his commitment and determination to uplift the youths to greater heights through various skill acquisitions, empowerment programmes and employment opportunities.

He thanked them for conducting themselves peacefully before, during, and after the polls, appealing to them to sustain the gesture.

He promised that his administration will continue to ensure that peaceful atmosphere reigns continuously in the local government.

He said; I am highly elated for the success of the elections held in Oshodi-Isolo local government. It is, however, pertinent to state unequivocally that the success wouldn’t have come without God and the support of our teeming residents for coming out en masse to cast their votes for our party. This gesture of our people towards us is not taken for granted, it is a further call to do more, and we will not disappoint you. My administration will work more assiduously for the development of our dear local government.

“I thank you most especially, the youths, aged men and women, market men and women, the community development committee, religious and traditional institutions, and indigenes and non-indigenes associations for standing firm in support of our party. We are not taking this your support for our government with levity; you shall see and enjoy more dividends of democracy in the council.

“I thank the youths of our great party both at the LGA, wards, and zonal levels, the Anularigba youth wing, the National Youth Council of Nigeria and other youth organisations for mobilizing themselves to vote the APC. My words are my bounds, we shall not let your down. We will create more job opportunities, skills acquisition and empowerment programmes for you.

“I equally thank immensely the traditional institutions- the Elewu of Ewu Land, Oba Shakiru Kuti; the Baale of Shogunle, High Chief Rafiu Ajisegiri; the Baale of Mafoluku, High Chief Adedayo Thomas; Adele of Oshodi, and Baale of Shogunle Oke, High Chief Muniru Obidairo for their unflinching support.
I say a big thank you to our religious institutions- the League of Chief Imams and the Christian Association of Nigeria (Oshodi-Isolo chapter) for making the success at the polls possible, we are grateful.

“The market men and women, remain one of the pillars that took us to this success ground, we say a big thank you for the support.

“The community development committee and all the CDAs under them will forever be thanked for holding the tides of the society and unflinching support for the success of the elections, we thank you for this.

“Our non-indigene groups and associations- the Arewa community, and their institutional heads will never be forgotten in this landmark achievement in the history of elections in Oshodi, we say ‘Nagode’ to you for the firm belief in our government and standing by us at the polls, thank you.”
