JK Estate Inter Coastal Unity Cup: Rhode Island crush Valley Coast 5-2

The Hon. Habeeb Anibaba Jk Estate Inter Coastal Unity Cup began on a good note as Rhode Island defeated Valley Coast 5-2 at the MKO Abiola mini stadium inside Jakande Estate Oke-Afa, Ejigbo.

Rhode Island’s Yusuf Adetunji grabbed a haul (4 goals) in the encounter as he sent his team to the semi-final of the competition.

Rhode Island took the lead after their winger, Yusuf Adetunji went on a blistering run from the center of the pitch to the opponent 18 meter box before firing past the opponent goalie.

Rhode Island doubled their score with a terrific lob by Yusuf Adetunji over the onrushing goalie via a great swinging pass.

Valley Coast pulled a goal back at the start of the second half to give their side a glimpse of hope in the game.

Rhode Island extended their lead from penalty spot through Yusuf Adetunji to complete his hat trick in the game.

Yusuf Adetunji proved a thorn in the flesh of Valley Coast as they could not handle his pace in the game.

He scored his team’s 4th goal by firing to the bottom corner of his opponent net.

Rhode Island netted their 5th goal in grand style as they tore their opponent apart with goals.

Despite playing with 10 men in the vast majority of the second half, Valley Coast were able to score their second goal in the 89th minute.

The match ended 5-2 in favour of Rhode Island as they advanced to the semi-final of the Hon Habeeb Anibaba Jk Estate Inter Coastal Unity Cup.
