Jakande Urges Staff To Be Proactive

Chairman of OdiOlowo Ojuwoye LCDA, Mr Seyi Jakande has urged the council staff to be efficient and productive while doing their job on duty.
Jakande embarked on a comprehensive inspection tour of all departments within the council secretariat, using the opportunity to personally assess operational challenges and staff welfare needs while charging workers to be more proactive in the discharge of their duties.
Addressing staff during the tour, Jakande said the need for greater commitment and initiative from every worker.
“I came here to see things for myself. When I know your genuine needs, I can vigorously fight for the resources required to meet them,” Jakande said.
He continued by urging every member of staff to be proactive, take ownership of their responsibilities, and show dedication to their work.
A motivated and proactive workforce, he stressed, is the foundation for better service delivery to the people. He called for initiative, creativity, and urgency in how they serve residents.
The inspection tour was specifically aimed at identifying operational bottlenecks, evaluating staff welfare requirements, and ensuring that all departments are adequately equipped to function effectively.
At the end of the tour, the Chairman directed that comprehensive reports from the various departments be compiled immediately to enable swift action on identified critical areas.
He reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to building a more efficient, responsive, and people-oriented local government.
