Isolo LCDA and Lagos Health District VI Partner for Free Medical Outreach

In an effort to bolster its comprehensive healthcare policy, the Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) partnered with the Lagos State Health District VI to provide a free medical outreach program for residents.
The event, held at the Oluseye/Aina Junction in Ishagatedo/Ire-Akari Ward, attracted a significant turnout of residents eager to benefit from the free healthcare services offered.
Attendees had the opportunity to have their vitals checked, including blood sugar levels and blood pressure, as well as receive consultations with doctors and obtain free medications.
Testimony Adeyeye, a health educator from the council’s health department, addressed the beneficiaries, stressing the importance of adopting healthy lifestyles and the advantages of utilizing primary healthcare centers (PHCs) for certain ailments and health challenges, as opposed to general or teaching hospitals.
On her part, Mrs Oloruntoyin Adebayo-Ige, the Director Community Health Service,
Lagos Health District VI advised the beneficiaries extensively on the need to ensure healthy dietary practices and visit primary healthcare facilities to have any unusual symptoms diagnosed adding that the PHCs are designed to cater for their health needs.
Ensuring quality healthcare service to make life abundant for residents has been one of the Olasoju-led Isolo LCDA administration’s focus with frequent ‘Care for the elderly program, construction of a PHC in Alagbeji Ward, upgrade of Ilasamaja PHC, partnership with NGOs to organize health mission among other activities to its credit.
