International Youth Day: Aroyewun Celebrates Igbogbo/Baiyeku Youths

The Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, has celebrated young people across the LCDA and beyond as the world marks International Youth Day.
In a message commemorating the day, Aroyewun highlighted the energy, creativity, resilience and potential of young people, stressing that youths remain critical to the development and future of every community.
This year’s International Youth Day is themed “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations,” reflecting the shared hopes of young people across different backgrounds and societies for a brighter, more prosperous and sustainable future.
Aroyewun said youth development remains a key priority of his administration under the GLORY Agenda, noting that deliberate efforts are being made to create opportunities, provide mentorship and equip young people with the skills and resources needed to become productive members of society.
He pointed to initiatives such as “Mentorship with HOA” and other empowerment programmes targeting artisans, students, graduates and young people across different sectors as part of the administration’s efforts to support youth development.
According to the chairman, investing in young people goes beyond supporting individuals, as it represents a strategic investment in the future of Igbogbo/Baiyeku and society at large.
He urged young people to remain focused on their ambitions, use their talents positively and continue pursuing excellence, assuring them that their voices and contributions remain important to the development of the community.
“Your aspirations matter, your voice matters, and your future is bright. Keep dreaming, keep striving, success is yours!” he said.
Aroyewun also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to creating more pathways for youth empowerment, personal development and meaningful participation in community affairs.
He wished young people across Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA and beyond a happy International Youth Day, while encouraging them to remain resilient and continue contributing positively to their communities.
