Imo Strikers Queens Emerge Champions Of Nowa Cup, Dominates Individual Awards

Imo Strikers Queens have emerged champions of the 2024 Nowa Cup after dismantling their opponent First Mahi 4-0 in grand style, while dominating the individual award categories.

Precious Oscar, Ezeka Miracle scored a goal each while Harmony Chidi grabbed a brace to complete the thrashing of First Mahi.

The competition didn’t come easy for the eventual champions, Imo Strikers Queens as they went through the rigorous preliminary stages before reaching the final.

The Imo state based side scored a whopping 17 goals in six matches and conceded five goals enroute to emerging the winners of the competition.

Imo Strikers Queens also dominated the individual award category as Nigeria U17 international, Harmony showed her prowess in front of goal to emerge the highest goal scorer of the tournament with seven goals in six matches.

Goalie, Jacklin Opara was adjudged the best goalkeeper of the competition while conceding the least number of goals.

Gaffer, Nelly Orisakwe won the best coach of the tournament award after guiding Imo Strikers Queens to lift the trophy.
